What is CrossFit kids?
CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program that is specifically designed for kids and teenagers, helping them develop a lifelong love of fitness.
Why choose CrossFit?
*Constantly varied (meaning no two workouts are the same. The body/brain never gets bored)

Why is functional movement so important?
Functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play- pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of these movements are taught in a fun, positive environment, safely and effectively under the close supervision of thoroughly trained CrossFit Kids coaches.
Is CrossFit programming sports specific?
CrossFit Kids doesn't teach them to be good at just one thing. Our WOD's will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains:
*Cardiovascular & Respiratory Endurance
What does WOD stand for?
CrossFit WOD's are the 'workouts of the day'. These workouts, or WOD's, for kids are age appropriate, fun, & exciting. Kids learn fitness through experience. We aim to make it fun every time by using games & obstacles to create a memorable time, stamping fitness fun in their brain. For the pre-teen/teens, the games will look a lot different than for a younger kid's class. After all, the tweens/teens need to look cool, right? But, we love to be sneaky and in doing so, they will have games and maybe not be aware of it! There's still fun to be had in class.
Why focus on fitness for kids?
It is so important today for our children to gain self-confidence, not in how they look but how and what they can achieve, by working hard towards a goal.
Good thing to remember:
With kids, it may take longer to achieve perfect form in order to use and/or move up with weight. And that's ok! It is a process.
Will a CrossFit kid's coach be too intense?
We believe in a positive approach to coaching, allowing kids to gain confidence in themselves and discovering the greatness they are capable of and created for. Our coaching style focuses on the kid's positive behavior and movement. We are passionate about bringing the love of fitness to our youth. By focusing on the positive helps a kid gain self-confidence in themselves. It is our hope to instill confidence and a healthy self-image to every kid that is a part of our program.
Is CrossFit kids offered year round?
We run either 4 week or 6 week sessions with our youth classes, trying our best to mirror the school calendar. Having young kids in school, I understand how difficult it is to be consistent during certain times of the year. Sometimes we all just need a breather from activities and not feel obligated to attend a class. *Please check the Gym Store tab for current sessions.*
It is truly an honor to have the chance to work with the next generation and teaching them correct movement patterns that will last throughout their lifetime.
